Castles of Transylvania and Spa at the largest thermal baths from Europe in Bucharest
Relax with a weekend at the largest thermal baths in Europe, in Bucharest. Visit also the Castle of “Dracula” and the Peles Castle.
Day 1: Meeting at the airport for transfer to the hotel in the center of Bucharest. Overnight in 4 * central hotel.
During the transfer you will admire the various tourist objectives encountered during the journey, including: the Piazza della Stampa Libera, Via Kiseleff, the Piazza della Vittoria, the Arc de Triomphe, the Via della Vittoria, the Piazza della Rivoluzione with the palace which housed the headquarters of the Romanian Communist Party and from where the dictator took off with the helicopter during the 1989 revolution, the Memorial of the Renaissance, a recent sculptural monument by the Romanian artist Alexandru Ghildus, the Romanian Athenaeum, a famous concert hall of the end of the 800 realized by a French architect, The Royal Palace, today seat of the National Museum of Romanian Art. Free time to explore the city.
Day 2: Tour of Bucharest + Therme
Visit the Parliament Building, a majestic monument, second only to the Pentagon, built at the behest of the dictator in the 80s of the 900 and for whose creation an entire neighborhood was razed. This will be followed by a tour of the Historic Center of Bucharest, a completely pedestrian area, with the remains of the princely fortress of Vlad the Impaler, the 16th century palatine church in Byzantine style, and the Stavropoleos church, an architectural jewel of the 18th century, in typical Wallachian style, with important oriental influences in external decoration. We will then have the pleasure of seeing the Village Museum, founded by a Romanian sociologist and built in 1936 with the collaboration of construction experts, anthropologists, ethnographers and sociologists from all over Romania. This wonderful open-air museum offers the opportunity to learn about the lifestyle of the romanian farmers of the 19th century, their houses, their water mills and their churches entirely made of wood. Here everything is authentic. We will also admire a wooden Maramures church, which was dismantled and then taken to the museum. In this regard, remember that many wooden churches of Maramures are UNESCO heritage
Free time in the afternoon or you can relax at the largest spa in Europe, in Bucharest (OPTIONAL) which has 3 distinct areas:
* ELYSIUM area with its 6 saunas, each with its own theme, 1 pool to relax with selenium and zinc in which there is also a pool-bar, the shower area also called the Fiore d’Eva, 3 massage areas and the Elysium restaurant;

If requested we can also book a dinner (not included) in the most famous restaurant in the capital, Caru cu Bere, which means the Carro with Beer, where you will have a great time thanks to the folklore show that will take place during dinner and where you will taste excellent traditional Romanian food. The beer produced here is original and the recipe is secret. Caru cu Bere has a fabulous neogothic facade and the restaurant was born as a brewery. The building is magnificently decorated inside in Art Deco style and with paintings representing scenes of bucolic and German life. In each painting you will see represented mugs of beer. As soon as you enter Caru cu Bere, you feel like you’re in a beautiful Bavarian brewery. Overnight at 4 * hotel in the center of Bucharest.
Day 3: Departure in the morning to visit the two most famous castles of Transylvania: Peles Castle, Bran Castle (“Dracula’s Castle”) and the oldtown of Brasov
The first stop is in Sinaia, where we will visit the Peles Castle, a masterpiece of eclectic architecture dominated by the neo-renaissance German style. Stained glass windows with scenes of German fables, Murano glass chandeliers, precious wood and gold carvings or walls covered in Cordoba leather, Sèvre porcelain and ivory sculptures complete the picture of the favorite residence of the royal family and especially of Queen Elizabeth . The castle of Peles could also be considered the castle of the primates: – it was the first building of the kind to have since the construction of central heating and elevator – in the theater hall wanted by the queen was presented for the first time in Romania a film film. Adjacent to the Peles Castle is Pelisor Castle (Il Piccolo Peles), summer residence of the successor of King Charles I
We continue the tour with a visit to the Bran Castle where we must arrive to discover all the charm of the legend of Dracula; here stands the famous castle that according to tradition hosted Count Dracula and inspired the novel by the writer Stoker. Born at the beginning as a military fortress, it was occupied by Maghiari, Austrians, then abandoned and restored to its glory only in the twentieth century. Surmounted by 4 towers and with sumptuous museum rooms, it is a true pearl of Romanian medieval art, as well as home to the mysterious and terrifying charm of Count Dracula.
Our tour ends in Brasov, the “city of the crown”, tour of the historical center of Brasov – Council Square, the Black Church, the White Tower, the Nerra Tower, the Ecaterina and Schei gates that separated the Romanians from the Saxons during the period of Austro-Hungarian domination.
Return to Bucharest overnight in 4 * hotel in the center of Bucharest.
